Why I started Ascend.
I spent over a decade inside technical STEM organizations: environmental consulting, chemistry labs, sustainability, renewable energy. I worked in technical and sales roles before moving into leadership. I earned the certifications and hit the executive level, putting in the 80-hour weeks it took to get there.
And I watched the same pattern play out again and again: highly qualified women doing the work, while less qualified people walked away with the title and the pay.
So I started coaching the women around me. I helped one colleague land a promotion she'd earned three times over. I helped another navigate her way out of a role that was breaking her. Then another. Then another.
Watching them step into roles they actually wanted, with pay that finally matched their worth, changed everything for me. So I built Ascend to do this work full-time.
